Parka Kings "Where's the Afterparty?"   Catalog #JUMP024
   * CD $10 post paid  (live limited edition)

The Parka Kings formed in 1993 in one of the Midwest's hottest music city's: Detroit. Early appearances on the first two American Skathic compilations endeared the band to thousands of fans worldwide, paving the way for two successful albums, "23 Skidoo" in 1995 & "Bienvenidos" in 1997, plus recent tracks on Universal's Ska American Style, Jump Up!'s Smash Your Radio, and Scoot! Magazine's free April '98 CD sampler. After dominating the Detroit scene for six years, the band decided to call it a day and played their final performance.....captured live & mixed direct to tape. On this, their final album, you'll hear the Parka Kings they way they were meant to be heard: LIVE. This is what they were best at. Thrill to the many sounds that made up the Parka Kings: grinding third wave ska anthems w/emotional Mod-punk vocals, classic 70's style dub, and Irish pub-rock. Clocking just short of 70 minutes, these 24 tracks transform the casual listener back to the live frenzy, into the heart of the performance. As they used to say about their live show: "if you didn't leave sweating, you were never there to begin with."

For Fans of: Telegraph, Toasters, Suicide Machines, Less Than Jake, Dance Hall Crashers, MU330
