We’re proud to team up with Abbey Productions for the debut full length from DETROIT RIDDIM CREW – featuring tracks from THE TELLWAYS and a holiday classic from J. This debut album contains music recorded in Detroit & Kingston, JA – side A features Christmas & holiday tunes in a rocksteady & ska style, side B features a collection of riddims showcasing up-and-coming deejays Jah Ques, Esne da Goddess, and Eddie Riott, concluding with a dub version mixed by Fatta. The Kingston session was engineered by Delory ‘Fatta’ Pottinger, who worked with Sly and Robbie and many others, and was performed by Steve Golding on guitar, Keith Bennet on drums and Glen Browne on bass. K-Man & The 45s, where Ska meets Rock and Roll. This Canadian 5 piece band from downtown Montreal is as heavily influenced by old school ska as it is with classic rock n roll. With a fantastic horn section playing catchy melodic lines and blazing solos over an energetic rhythm section, they switch naturally from ska to rock and punk, with surf sounds often not far behind. They draw influences as much from 2 tone bands such as The Specials and The Beat as they do from The Ramones and The Cramps. “Stand With The Youth” features 12 tracks of high energy steady-rocking Ska punk gems. Not to be outdone we have restocked the latest album from legendary Canadian ska band PLANET SMASHERS, NOW CELEBRATING 25 YEARS OF SKA PUNK PARTY MAYHEM! An absolute staple in the Canadian music scene, The Smashers have been slinging their two-toney, punky, new wavee party ska to the four corners of the earth with an unapologetic middle finger raised on one hand and a double mai-tai cocktail firmly gripped in the other. “Too Much Information” is The Planet Smashers’ ninth full-length album and these fourteen songs run through a diverse collection of themes ranging from the culture of over-sharing (Too Much Information) to being obsessed by love (Can’t Stop) to eating far too much ice-cream (Brain Freeze) to that one time a couple years back when Matt Smasher broke his neck in four places after a show in Sherbrooke (Break My Neck A Love Song). One thing’s for damn sure, you just can’t keep a good band down.
LOLLIPOP LORRY formed in 2008, and from their earliest shows the band gained a reputation of being one of the most promising ska/reggae bands in Russia, if not the world! Their repertoire is based on their own original songs and tunes as well as the traditional Caribbean music standards — ska, reggae, dub, calypso. During the last 12 years the band performed at the largest Russian festivals, played with The Wailers, BeNuts, Markscheider Kunst, St. Petersburg Ska-Jazz Review and toured all across Mexico, where they enjoy a massive fanbase. Lollypop Lorry have fans all around the world, lead by powerful yet soulful female lead vocals, and their music can be heard on many international compilations and podcasts. Visually, the band dress sharp and excite a crowd – they are also the only ska/reggae band in Russia whose videos have more than 4 million viewers from different countries. Inspired by American jazz and The Skatalites, the band can also drop roots reggae grooves for cool late night sessions, as witness on their recent “Goes Dub” album. “Live At Octopus’ sessions were so popular on YouTube that Russian label Magnetic Loft released it on vinyl in 2019! New for 2020 is the band’s first 7 inch vinyl single – and a Christmas ska double header at that! “Magic Moments” made famous by Perry Como in 1954 backed with “Skankin’ Around The Christmas Tree” on the flip. Red and green vinyl each limited to 200 copies (SORRY, greeting cards not included anymore…..)
Originally formed in 2010 by Ali Culotta and Danny Portilla, Stop The Presses has come a long way since their early days in Miami. The band deliver an incredible mix of traditional ska & reggae with pop hooks – new wave style and punk rock attitude with a splash of British 2-Tone. In 2019, they released “Money in the Bank”, produced by Agent Jay and featuring Dave Hillyard of The Slackers. This album quickly put the band on the international map with it’s a retro 80s sensibility and modern edge that won over ska fans of all types! Lockdown 2020 brought multiple high profile live streams, collaborative videos, and their “Dub in the Bank” 7 inch release. In 2021, Stop the Presses hit the ground running with an east coast tour, a stand out performance at Supernova Ska Festival and the contribution of their single “Make the Best of It” for the Jump Up / Supernova Alpha Boys School benefit double album “SKA CARES”. In 2022 the band recorded their second full length “Got It” right before heading out on an extensive US tour including an official SXSW showcase and a return performance at Supernova. This new album was entirely recorded in Brooklyn, mixed once again by AGENT JAY at STABBY ROAD. Eight tracks that prove how exciting and diverse a modern traditional ska band can be! Includes a fantastic cover of Bikini Kill’s “Rebel Girl”! As Agent Jay describes them: “A live natural feel, but a big sound with detailed arrangements.” Available on blue vinyl, compact disc, and cassette tape!

British 2-Tone ska punk band THE TALKS formed in 2006 and had the distinct honor of opening for The Specials on their 30th anniversary tour way back in 2009. Their albums are a smorgasbord of catchy tunes, well crafted engaging songs that fit extraordinarily well within the confines of ska’s structural boundaries. We’be restocked their classic album from 2015 released on Grover Records in Germany, a must for fans of Buster Shuffle, classic 2-Tone. and modern American third wave ska. Inspired by bands like The Clash, The Specials, and Redskins, Germany’s T-KILLAS released their debut album in 2014 full of energetic 2-Tone ska mixed with a heavy dose of mod, garage, and punk. It’s fast, snotty and cheeky, with lots of guitar and organ as well as a dominant saxophone that brings to mind many of the European bands from the early 90’s ska explosion. Fans of Hellcat Records will also dig! In 2020, after a 6 year wait, the second album “Awareness” was dropped on Grover Records! Last but certainly not least comes from Swiss ska-punk-abilly band THE PEACOCKS! Jump Up issued “IN WITHOUT KNOCKING” in the USA in the late 90’s and sponsored multiple tours by this dynamic 3 piece – so it’s fun to see this limited poster sleeve vinyl re-press available again for those who missed out 25 years ago!
